Please join us for Women of '76 - A Theatrical Tribute to Lesser Known Women of the American Revolution, appropriate for all ages 10+!

Step back in time and discover the untold stories of 5 courageous women, both patriot and loyalist, American and foreign born, who witnessed, chronicled and in some cases changed the course of the American Revolution. A few of the remarkable women in this powerful theatrical presentation:

  • A Massachusetts housewife who led an all-female militia to capture British spies
  • A German baroness who followed her Hessian general husband into the British camps
  • A fearless Georgian farmer’s wife who stood her ground against a Redcoat search party—alone
  • And two more bold, forgotten heroines who helped shape a nation.

Discover their courage. Hear their voices. Experience the Revolution.

Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Flint Memorial Library and the North Reading Historical & Antiquarian Society.

This program is partially funded by the North Reading Cultural Council, a local agency, supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
