Repair Fair
Saturday, March 710:00 AM—2:00 PMActivity RoomFlint Memorial Library147 Park Street, North Reading, MA, 01864
Join us for a Repair Fair, in collaboration with the North Reading Sustainability Committee!
Our Repair Fair is a volunteer-led event where people bring their broken items and learn from one of the handy volunteers how to fix them. Our volunteers are happy to make small repairs and adjustments, like oiling a bicycle chain. Through learning how things work and how we might repair our things, we can reduce the amount that we throw away, and the amount we need to buy again!
Do you have a broken item in your home that you know you could fix with the right guidance? Bring in a broken household item and get help from one of our repair volunteers, who generously share their time, tools, and expertise, and will consult with you on the troubleshooting and repair of items.
Are you someone who others consider 'handy'? Do you like to take things apart to learn how they work? Do you often fix your own broken things? Then join our team of volunteers to repair and/or teach others how to repair everyday items! We are looking for a number of skilled and tech-savvy makers to serve as repair technicians at this event. Contact Emily at eklesaris@northreadingma.gov to be connected to the Sustainability Committee!
To get an item repaired, we encourage booking an appointment; we may be able to accommodate a few walk-in repairs as well. Learn more and sign up for your repair appointment at this link!
