Told through narrative, live performance on guitar and vocals, and an accompanying digital slideshow, Barrett focuses on the story of early blues heroes Charlie Patton, Son House, Skip James, Robert Johnson, and Muddy Waters, and crafts a narrative that celebrates the lives and art of these music pioneers, while telling a story of freedom and empowerment through artistic expression that rocked the world during Jim Crow 20th century America.

About Barrett Anderson:

"Blues Stories: Culture & History Told Through Song & Narrative" is a program created by Massachusetts based Blues singer/guitarist, Barrett Anderson. Throughout his career, Barrett has played with the best and brightest Blues artists in the scene, and is currently part of the global community of musicians carrying this music forward.

During his 25 year career as a Professional Musician, Barrett has recorded 3 full length albums (the most recent, HypnoBoogie spent 3 weeks on the Billboard Blues Album Charts, peaking at #6), won a Boston Music Award (2013 Blues Artist of the Year), spent a combined 6 years as a guitarist with internationally acclaimed bands Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters and The Monster Mike Welch Band, and has played thousands of shows across America, Canada, and Europe. In addition to his work with The Barrett Anderson Band, he is currently a member of Anthony Geraci & The Boston Blues All-Stars, who were recently nominated for a Blues Music Award (2023 Band of the Year) by The Blues Foundation, tour nationally and internationally, and have a new album coming out in 2024.
